Yacht and Boat Interior Cleaning
We come to the marina, work around your charter schedule and finish before the next booking. Cabins, saloon, heads and galley, done onboard with no need to move the vessel.
What our yacht and boat interior cleaning includes
A boat interior is a small space with expensive materials in it and salt air moving through constantly. What works in a house doesn't always work here, so the method changes by surface. This is what a standard visit covers.
- Cabins and berths
Bunks, lockers, headliners and the spaces underneath. Cabins are closed up for days at a time in Dubai heat, and that's where a musty smell starts, usually in the mattress or the locker backs rather than anywhere visible.
- Boat upholstery cleaning
Saloon seating, cabin upholstery and helm chairs. Marine vinyl, leather and fabric all take different products, and the wrong one on vinyl leaves it sticky or cracked. We extract fabric rather than surface-wipe it, so salt and sunscreen come out of the foam instead of setting into it.
- Galley deep clean
Fridge, freezer, oven, hob, sink and every locker. Food residue in a galley that's shut up for a fortnight in summer is the single most common source of onboard smell.
- Heads and wet areas
Showers, sinks, seacocks and the surrounding joinery. Fresh water rinse and a proper disinfect, then dried, because these are the spaces that stay wet longest with the least ventilation.
- Teak, joinery and interior glass
Interior teak and varnished joinery get cleaned with products that won't lift the finish, and windows and mirrors are done streak-free. Salt haze on interior glass builds up faster than owners expect.
Why choose EcoClean for your yacht and boat interior cleaning?
- Marine materials, marine products
Marine vinyl, teak, gelcoat and leather each need something different. Household cleaner on marine vinyl dries it out and cracks it, and once that starts it doesn't reverse. Our teams know which product goes where before they open a bottle.
- We work around your schedule
Between charters, before an owner's trip, or on a quiet weekday. Tell us the window and we work to it, at the berth, without the vessel leaving its slip.
- Damp is the real enemy
In Dubai humidity a boat that's closed up grows mildew fast. Everything we wet gets dried properly before we leave, and we check the places owners rarely open, locker backs, under bunks, behind the headliner.
- Eco-friendly onboard
Non-toxic, biodegradable products throughout. That matters more on the water than anywhere else, and it means the interior isn't full of fumes when guests step aboard.

Yacht and boat interior cleaning services in Dubai
A boat interior is a difficult space to keep clean, and not because owners neglect it. It’s small, it’s sealed up for days at a time, it’s full of soft furnishing and varnished timber, and salt air moves through all of it. In Dubai you add heat and humidity on top. A vessel that looked fine when it was locked up can smell of mildew a fortnight later.
EcoClean has worked across Dubai for nine years, and we clean yacht and boat interiors at the berth, so nothing has to be moved or lifted.
Boat cleaning services for smaller vessels
Not everything on the water is a superyacht. Cruisers, sport boats, fishing boats and day boats make up most of what’s berthed around Dubai, and the interiors on those get harder use than the big ones do, wet feet, tackle, coolers, sunscreen on every surface.
Boat cleaning services from us cover the same ground scaled to the vessel: cabin, saloon seating, carpet, heads and galley. On a smaller boat that’s often half a day rather than a full one, and it’s easier to book around because the windows are shorter.
Areas we clean onboard
Saloon and seating. Cabins, bunks and lockers. Heads and shower compartments. Galley including appliances. Interior teak and joinery. Carpets and soles. Windows, mirrors and interior glass. Helm station and instrument surfaces, cleaned carefully around screens and switch panels.
We work inside the vessel only. Hull cleaning, topsides, decks and antifouling are a separate trade and we don’t take those on, above or below the water.
Boat upholstery and carpet, the parts that hold the smell
If a boat smells, it’s almost always one of three things: the galley, the heads, or the soft furnishing. Upholstery and carpet absorb salt, sweat and sunscreen and then sit in a warm closed cabin.
Wiping doesn’t fix that, it just cleans the top. We extract, which pulls the residue out of the foam and the pile, and then we dry properly. Drying is the part that gets skipped and it’s the part that matters most on a boat, damp fabric in a sealed cabin is how mildew starts.
Marine-safe cleaning products
Everything we use onboard is non-toxic and biodegradable, which on the water is the only reasonable option. It’s also better for the materials. Household degreasers strip the plasticiser out of marine vinyl and it cracks, alcohol cleaners dull acrylic windows, and the wrong product on interior teak lifts the varnish.
How the visit works
You tell us the vessel, the berth and the window you’ve got. We come and look first, because a 40-foot cruiser and an 80-foot motor yacht are not the same job and a phone estimate would be a guess. Then we agree a price and a time.
On the day we work through the interior in order, wet work first, drying last, and the vessel is left closed up dry rather than closed up damp.
Keeping the interior right between cleans
A few things owners can do that make a real difference. Run ventilation or leave hatches cracked when the boat is berthed and the weather allows. Empty the fridge before a long gap, that one alone prevents most smell complaints. Rinse salt off interior glass rather than letting it dry on. And don’t leave cushions stacked face-down on a damp sole, which is where a surprising number of mildew problems start.
Marinas and areas we cover
Dubai Marina, Dubai Harbour, Palm Jumeirah, Bluewaters, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Creek and Al Jaddaf. If you’re berthed somewhere else in the emirate, ask, we usually can.
FAQ
-
A smaller boat is usually half a day. A 60 to 80 foot yacht with several cabins is a full day, sometimes two if the galley and heads need heavy work. We confirm after looking onboard.
-
Both. Cruisers, sport boats, fishing boats and day boats are a large part of what we do, and the interiors on those tend to see harder use than the larger vessels.
-
Yes. Marine vinyl, leather, teak, gelcoat and acrylic each get the appropriate product. Household cleaners crack vinyl and dull acrylic windows, so they don’t come onboard.
-
Yes, and we extract rather than surface-clean, so salt and sunscreen come out of the foam and the pile. Everything is dried properly before we leave, which on a boat matters as much as the cleaning.
-
That’s most of what we do. Give us the gap between bookings and we’ll work it, including early mornings and evenings, at the berth with no need to move the vessel.
-
No, none of those. We’re an interior service only. Hull cleaning, topsides, deck washing and antifouling are a separate trade, and that applies above the water as well as below it.
-
Usually yes. It’s normally the galley, the heads or damp soft furnishing rather than anything structural. Extraction plus proper drying clears most of it, and we check locker backs and under bunks where it tends to hide.
-
It depends on the length of the vessel, how many cabins and heads there are, and the state of the upholstery. We look onboard before quoting rather than guessing, and the estimate is free.
